Rachel is a teenager girl with no family left, it’s natural for her to be desperate to save the only person who might have answers about her origin. Dick and Starfire interrogate him further to learn her birth mother, Angela (Rachel Nichols), is alive. A panicked Rachel does manage to save him but is left with more questions. Adamson slits his own neck because of his faith she could heal him. Titans does give us some insight into Rachel’s powers and why The Organization wants her. He’s talking down to a vulnerable child and he knows exactly how to manipulate her. From the way he speaks and acts, it’s clear he believes he has the upper hand in this situation. This week picks up immediately where “Jason Todd” left off with Rachel going to speak with Dr. However, the heroes must face their deepest fears if they hope to survive and the show does a fantastic job of raising the stakes. This week the team heads to “The Asylum” in order to save Rachel’s birth mother. The show has had lows like “Hawk and Dove” and then highs like “Jason Todd” and “Together”.
